Chocolate Meringue Kisses
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup Cortés Lite Ground Chocolate
1/4 cup sugar
Powdered cocoa for garnish
In a blender, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar and powdered sugar. When peaks start forming, add the cocoa and the vanilla. Cover the baking tray with wax paper. Then, use a piping bag to form meringue kisses with the mixture. Preheat the oven and bake at 350 °F for 25 minutes. Then, turn the oven off. Leave the kisses inside the oven for an additional 15 minutes to allow them to dry out.
Note: This recipe can also be made with Cortés Ground Chocolate.
